SO...I'll start off by saying, I absolutely LOVE Tom Ford fragrances.  Tobacco Vanille is a masterpiece in my opinion, truly one of my favorites that my husband wears.  When a new release comes out from Tom Ford my excitement level normally hits a 10, and when I saw Tom Ford Bitter Peach in the pipeline it was no different.  There really aren't many Tom Ford fragrances that are a miss for me, and this one is yet another true gem in my opinion, although very unique and perhaps not for everyone, which we'll talk about a bit later.  So, lets talk about the fragrance.

Tom Ford describes Bitter Peach as "Intoxicating pêche de vigne and Sicilian blood orange oil that release the slick sweetness of bitter peach at its luscious peak.  A sensual heart of rum-infused davana oil is revealed, while a surge of patchouli lures the senses to the furthest reaches of inner sensuality and abandon."

Now I'm not a fan of the scent of blood orange, at all.  So going in I had the assumption that I was going to be turned off by that.  But oh that first spray!  Close your eyes and imagine sitting in a peach orchard on a sunny summer day drinking a fuzzy navel...it's like that, but the blood orange seems to add a bitterness to the front end (as the name would suggest) and the bitterness I think helps cut some of the sweetness, which isn't such a bad thing.  As the fragrance dries down, the opening of the peach calms a bit and you're rewarded with a wonderful vanilla woodsy peaches and cream type of scent.  There is a hint of patchouli there, but to me it definitely isn't too much and adds a lot of character to the overall scent profile.

So, what is my overall opinion?  I do love this latest creation by Tom Ford, I do.  However, I'm giving it a 7/10 overall and here are my reasons why.  First, this fragrance is definitely not for everyone and is definitely unique.  I can see some being turned off by the sweetness of it.  If you're not a fan of sweet perfumes, you are probably not going to like this at all.  Which brings me to my second point, which is, I don't see this as a fragrance that can be worn everyday/everywhere.  To me this is a "special occasion" fragrance, which I don't see wearing to a black tie type of event or in the boardroom, to an important meeting, etc.  The beach, the market, a walk on the pier sure, absolutely.  Tom Ford Bitter Peach is not an inexpensive fragrance by any means, which for a special occasion/circumstance fragrance may be a bit much for most people out there.  The true Tom Ford fragrance connoisseurs will appreciate the complexities of this fragrance, I believe.  If you're on the fence about it, I would suggest starting with a small sample or vial of the fragrance to give it a whirl first before doling out the hefty price for a full bottle.  However, if you're a lover of Tom Ford Fragrances as I am, this lovely new creation may be something that you'll truly love.

What are your thoughts of this fragrance?  I would love to hear your opinions, make it a great day!
